Back to back wins for JST GGUK’s Price

JSTGGUK Trials Team rider JACK PRICE has ‘back to back’ wins at British Trials Championship Rounds 3 & 4…

Team JST GAS GAS UK travelled north to Newcastle at the weekend for Rounds 3&4 of the 2019 British Trials Championship.
Great venue and event thanks to the Tynemouth and District Motor Club. Not easy to cater for 4 Classes and with changeable weather conditions. The Clerk of the course and his helpers did a great job, especially on Sunday with some great sections in the woods.

Day1;
It was very close on Day 1 in the TrialGB Class with Jack Price just getting the tie break decision to edge out Toby Martyn. Two fives on the last lap from JP almost gifted to win to Toby who was excellent on the final lap.
Both riders were in great form on Saturday.

In the Trial2 Class, JSTGGUK rider Richard Sadler had his first BTC win of the season in confident form.
His JSTGG teammates Sam Haslam was 4th, Dec Bullock in 7th and Mitch Brightmore 10th.

In the Expert Class, it was the ever-reliable Dan Thorpe who again was on the podium in 2nd and Sam Yeomans 5th.

In the Youth125 Class, Ben Dignan grabbed an easy even with another dodgy last lap.

Day 2;
Sections were changed and the overnight rain made for an interesting Day2.
The Top 4 riders in the TrialGB Class all rode excellent and I’m glad it was JSTGGUK rider Jack Price who came out on top.
Jack rode well all day with just one mistake on the first lap on section 3. Apart from that he was superb and was in confident form especially on the very hard section 10 in the woods.
Jack now travels to Japan for Rounds 2&3 of the World Trials Championship.

In the Trial2 Class JSTGGUK rider and Day 1 winner Richard Sadler almost won again, just missing out on the tiebreak to eventual winner Tom Minta.
Sam Haslam was 5th but finished with a great last lap. Sam needs to bounce back at Round 5 in a few weeks time…
Dec Bullock was 6th and Mitch Brightmore 10th.

In the Expert Class it was JSTGGUK rider Sam Yeomans who had his best BTC result to date with a great 2nd place. This surprised a few but not to me, well deserved Sam and well done!
Dan Thorpe was again on the podium in 3rd.

JSTGGUK rider Ben Dignan again won easily the Trial125 Class and finished with a good last lap!

Good work Team, I drove home proud last night 🙂

Thanks to Factory Kev for JP bike prep.
