European Success for Josh

Josh Mcparland claimed the title of European Champion in the Benjamin category last weekend at the one off event in Brezova near Sokolov in the Czech Republic.

Josh has trained hard all season for this event and was determined to come away with top spot having had to settle for second place back in 2015 at the same venue in the poussin class.

Josh had a superb first lap dropping just 4 marks with 2 of those being planned dabs to leave him with a 6 mark advantage over his rivals Jacob Mudrak and Vojtech Hribek.

Things got a bit tense after the opening 2 sections on the second lap with Josh getting caught for a 1 on the first as his front wheel slipped into a nasty hole a 5 then followed on the

second section when a log rolled from under him resulting in a failure this made for a close finish with Josh having a further 1 on the third section!

After giving himself a talking too Josh stepped up a gear and cleaned the remainder of the course without loss giving Josh the victory by a slender 1 mark from rival and good friend Jacub Mudrak with Denisa Pechakova climbing into the final podium spot.
