West Leeds Motor Club stalwart Malcolm Adams has called time on his position has motor cycle sport correspondent for the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post after many years reporting Yorkshire trials.
Now eighty eight years of age, Malcolm has battled to retain a trials column in both publications, against all odds, namely ball games. The group ceased paying him some time ago but he carried on providing reports gratis.
He will be on gate duties at the national White Rose Trial on September 13 at Hawes.
Apart from being an accomplished church organist Malcolm Adam was on the engine design team at Ford Motor Company Dagenham until his retirement.
For the record the Yorkshire Post ran a full motorcycle sport column in the fifties when the late Matt Shelley was a staff reporter until the late seventies..
