News from the Bradford based club is that entries are now rolling in for the annual Yorkshire Dales Classic Trial on May 7th.
This long distance car and motorcycle event centres on Pateley Bridge auction mart. The motor cycle class’s cover from British made Pre 1970 machine and three other solo classes of various capacities. Spritely pensioner Celia Walton will be riding her 600cc sidecar outfit, and aiming to win, as she did last year.The car class has eight categories.
Of special interest will be the class for trials machines, though the thought of seventy miles on a trials machine is a little daunting. The route will take in sixteen special; tests with stop and restart in some sections. Watergate, Strid Wood and Haw Pike, at Bolton Abbey, Peels Wood and Sword Point and Brimham Rocks are some of the test hills.
