The French Town of Andon was the host for the 2015 World Trial Championship at high altitude and in exetional heat the riders had to battle the very steep white rocky sections set mainly in a wooded area, the sections although looking gripy turned out to be the opposite as more bikes traversed the sections they polished each lap and became exceptionally difficult to judge by the riders who had some hellish crashes on the nasty jagged rockery.
Scorpa team rider Billy Bolt set off strongly on day one with steady riding and was in a good position after the first lap on 12 points, knowing that he needed to up his game on lap two he made a mistake on section 10 taking the marker out for a five mark penalty giving him a lap of 13 that was still ok but lap three turned into a disaster as he finished on 19 points that pushed him down to seventh place. All the other top guys upped there game coming in with single figure scores, Day one game over !!
Day two Billy never got into the trial he was to uptight and needed to relax more, to many mistakes happened each lap, still in the points but twelth place is not the result he is looking for.
The next weekend will be in Andorra at high altitude Billy is hoping for better results there, fingers crossed.
