What a weekend for the Colin Appleyard youth trials team, which had everyone travelling to the south west to take part in rounds 3 and 4 for the B and C class British youth championship and rounds 2 and 3 for the D class youth championship.
Saturday was a excellent day for the team as B class riders Keiran Child and Will Tolson finished 1st and 2nd respectively. Both good friends, pushed each other all the way and finished on 10 marks lost each, Keiran was given the victory on count back. Charlie Smith finished outside the top 15 but this is his first year and is all good experience.
Edward Earle riding the C class finished the day in 3rd place
D class rider Myles Hutchinson riding the Oset had a great ride and finish in 2nd place
Sunday was a mixed bag, Keiran rode well with his new found confidence and finished in 2nd place, Will had a big crash and suffered with bike issues and ended the day in 9th place. Charlie battled through the day to 13th place which is a great achievement.
Edward couldn’t match Saturdays performance and ended the day in 5th place, Myles couldn’t repeat his form of Saturday and ended the day in 6th place.
All in all the boys did very well and all showed what they are capable of on the day, Well done to all the boys on their efforts.
