A cold wet day welcomed the 155 riders to the National Jack Wood Trial held above Sheffield in the Bradfield area. This traditional road based event takes in 50 hazards staged around the area using all the types of terrain you will find at an event.
Emma Bristow “This is always an excellent event and one I really enjoy. This year the event greeted us with some very cold and wet conditions bit it’s good to take in this type of weather as you prepare for the long days found at the Scottish Six Days trial in May”.
“This event is ideal to give both the rider and machine a run out in as the SSDT is coming round very fast. I have ridden well today but I need to ride more of this type of terrain as i prepare for my week in May”.
“As usual the MRS Sherco has run faultless all day and in some very awkward situations has given me the confidence to clean some very difficult hazards. The wet and cold elements today have not really bothered me as i am supplied with some excellent riding kit from my valued sponsors”.
“My main focus between now and the SSDT is to train as much as possible and besides this I will be riding in some more road based events. The Highland event is one I always look forward to in my busy calendar of events and I look forward to the challenge of bringing home the Best Lady rider award once again for my-self, MRS and Sherco”.
“I would like to thank all my the officials for putting on the event and the observers for standing out on a cold wet day at the Jack Wood – Thank you”.
