It was a good two days of trials riding over the Easter weekend as the riders travelled to Wales for a ‘Double Header’ of events. On the Sunday the first of the two events the Powys trial was held in Mid Wales before the riders travelled to North Wales for the Lomax trial on Easter Monday. MRS Sherco rider Emma Bristow was in very good form as she finished inside the top ten on both days to secure some valuable championship points
Emma Bristow “These were two excellent road based events and I am happy with my riding. At the Powys event I took a five mark penalty in the first hazard of the day which spoilt my first lap score but I did not concede any more five mark penalties and slightly improved on my first lap score to come home in 9th position”.
“At the next round the Lomax Cup in North Wales I parted with three five mark penalties in my total score of 32 during a long day which spoiled what was otherwise a very good ride. I eventually finished in 7th position and came away from the weekend with two good positive results”.
“I have enjoyed a very good weekend of trials riding and the MRS Sherco has performed well. In these Welsh based events you incur many river hazards which is excellent training for the SSDT and the MRS Sherco was in its element providing me with strong smooth power giving me the confidence to challenge for the top positions.”
“I keep counting down the days to the ‘Scottish” with continual training during the week and competing where I can at the weekends to make sure that come the first week in May I am well prepared for the ‘Six Days’ challenge. My ultimate goal is a top twenty finish at the event and of course the Best lady rider award. One things for sure and that’s with the continued support of my valued sponsors it’s a goal within my reach if everything goes to plan”.
