Gas Gas proclaimed runner-up in X-Trial des Nations with James Dabill and Jack Price riding for Great Britain

The two-man Gas Gas team formed by James Dabill and Jack Price made it to second place in the X-Trial des Nations for Great Britain. The brand from Girona had the greatest representation in the highest level of indoor competition in selections, with five riders competing: Dabill and Price, second for Great Britain, as well as Matteo Grattarola, fourth for Italy, and Franzi Kadlec and Jarmo Robrahn, fifth for Germany.

James Dabill and Jack Price, both official riders with the Gas Gas Trial Factory Team, stepped up onto the second step of the podium at the X-Trial des Nations held last Friday in the French city of Pau. The Great British team, composed of a duo formed by Gas Gas riders, proved themselves to be the most competitive after Spain, who won this international trophy for the eleventh time.

An Italian combination formed by Matteo Grattarola (Gas Gas) and Luca Pretrella had to make do with fourth position after a complicated first round for the ‘azzurra’ national selection. Finally they were able to regain points in the second round finishing in front of the German team, with Franzi Kadlec and Jarmo Robrahn, both Gas Gas riders. The new regulations for the X-Trial des Nations means that at least one of the riders in each selection has to be under 25.

Now that the X-Trial season has finished, both on an individual as well as national level, the Gas Gas Trial Factory Team riders are concentrating on Camprodon, where the Spanish GP of the World TrialGP Championship is being held. The locality in the region of Girona is where the outside World Championships are getting under way on 13th and 14thMay.
