Here it is again! The latest edition of the Gas Gas Weekly News, although this one might be one of the most special editions yet, as… We are double World Trial Champions!
Last week we had the pleasure of congratulating Jack Peace for winning the World Trial125 Championship in Belgium, the first big win in what is a new era for Gas Gas. And just seven days later we have the enormous satisfaction of sharing the news of yet another big win. That makes two big wins. Jack Price is the new Trial2 World Champion! Our young trial rider chose the British GP, the grand prix held on home ground, as the very best scenery to win his first World Championship, cheered on by his fellow countrymen and supported by his teammates in the Gas Gas Factory FG Trial Team.
Gas Gas is back with more power and energy than ever, dominating two of the three men’s categories in the World Championship. Two victories and two lots of congratulations we want to extend to each and every one of the members of our great Gas Gas family. To all of those, who thanks to their efforts every day, giving everything they’ve got, have taken our riders and our brand to the very highest peak in the world. Well done everybody. Still riding! And now, still winning!
In Tong, Jack Price made quick work of it by winning on Saturday and winning the Trial2 championship. A day later, Dan Peace took over from his teammate climbing to top place in his category, followed in second place by Price. Two victories in Trial2, which added to the double win from Jack Peace in Trial125, the real leader of the small capacity bikes this year. Sandra Gómez also climbed up onto the podium on the first day but had to make do with a fourth place on the second day. This was a result that was only partially satisfactory for our woman rider, as she wants to be a bit higher up for her debut with Gas Gas in the World Championship. Franz Kadlec was the best-classified Gas Gas rider in TrialGP.
We are very pleased about the successes of our trial riders, where Arnau Farré and Dan Peace are in third and fourth positions in the Trial2 World Championship.
The production of the Gas Gas Trial Contacthas been progressively added to the production of the stars of the brand – the Trial bike, Gas Gas TXT Racing and the Enduro, the Gas Gas EC Racing. Other recent additions to production are the small Gas Gas eKids T12 and E12. The new Gas Gas electric bikes for the kids now share the same manufacture, storage and distribution with their Torrot family friends: the new Muvi scooter, the new Citysurfer bicycles and the new Kids 10/12 range in their Trial, Enduro y Supermoto range. It is really fantastic to see so much work!
