JST Gas Gas UK weekend summery

Road and Trials GAS GAS rider JACK PRICE was in awesome form at the weekend at WTC Germany easily winning the Trial2 class both days. He won by a good margin on day1 and a big margin on Day2 to take the lead in the Championship by a healthy 16 points. Jack is riding well and is happy with the people around him. Like most riders in the Trial2 and Trial125 class it’s a big family effort and the Price family are there supporting their son together with long standing sponsor and friend Tony Kaye from GG Dealer Road and Trials. Jack also has a great relationship with his keen Minder OJ.

I am impressed with Jack this year because he’s riding very relaxed and nothing seems to faze him. Of course the Trial2 world title is the goal but Jack just rides one event at a time and he knows after his two wins last year that the competition is close in his class and there are a lot of riders that are capable of a win. Consistency is key and Jack knows that. Congrats to him and his Team.

JSTGGUK rider Dan Peace had a shaky first day and self confessed ‘bad day’ finishing 7th only three marks off 4th. Dan was only blaming himself Saturday night and said he would bounce back the next day which he did in style grabbing second place just pushing out Iwan Roberts to third for an all British Trial2 podium. Dan is working well with minder Josh Sprintall and they now sit in 4th in the Trial2 championship race.

JSTGGUK rider Jack Peace has been beaten! Jack was second both days in the Trial125 class behind German rider Jarmo Robrahn who usually rides the Trial2 class. He was riding down a class because of the German road laws which only allow him to ride a 125cc. Jack Peace wants to win badly so was not happy to finish second. He has however increased his Trial125 Championship lead over Max Vaude. He now has a 16 point advantage. Jack rode excellent all weekend but wasn’t happy to be on the second step of the podium. I get the feeling Jack will be back to his winning ways very soon.

The GAS GAS Factory Team is working well so far this year. In the main TrialGP class, the Italian rider Matteo Grattarola struggled this weekend with the sections not really suiting his riding style but he gave 100%. Franzi Kadlec had his best WTC weekend to date which was cool for his home GP. Matteo and Franzi are now 8th and 9th respectively in the Championship.

Hakon Pederson was 17th both days and is fighting hard.

Factory GG Trial2 Spainish superstar rider Arnau Farre had a mixed weekend. Podium day one but a lowly 8th on Day2. I think Arnau was struggling with the dry but slippery green ‘BTC’ style sections. Imn sure he will be in awesome form in Andorra in two weeks time.

No.1 JSTGGUK rider Michael Brown was missed L
