The best female trials riders in the UK will be in Gloucestershire for the latest rounds of the ACU British championship this weekend.

Championship leader after two rounds, Becky Talbot (nee Cook) is expected to face the toughest challenge from reigning World and British champion, Sherco rider Emma Bristow.

Having missed the second round Emma Bristow has some ground to make up and will be going for the win at Zona 1 MCC’s Whitaker and Cotswold Cups trials on Saturday and Sunday, but Becky, Donna Fox (Sherco) and Jess Bown (Scorpa) will no doubt want to add to their points tally.

Talbot, riding for Steve Saunders’ locally based SXS team, shared honours with Bristow over the first two rounds of the world championship in the Czech Republic earlier this month so we not only have the top Ladies in the UK but also the World showing their skills this weekend.

It is not just the top Championship riders competing on both days, there are several other support classes as well as the youth girls in action throughout the weekend.

There will be a food van on site and plenty of parking, and the weather forecast at present looks like it will be warm, why not come out for a day in the Cotswolds !

Saturday’s event is at Harcombe Farm, Syde, and Sunday’s will be at Nettleton Quarry, near Birdlip.

Spectators are welcome and both start at 10.30am.
