This weekend sees two OSET Cups taking place and the sun looks set to shine on sections no matter where you ride.
East Anglia Trials Club will host a double round, offering families the opportunity to camp overnight at Ware, Hertfordshire. With no rain forecast (virtually unheard of when trialling) it’s the perfect opportunity to get kids on their bike for the whole weekend. Rounds three and four of the Three Counties OSET Cup will take place at Colliers End, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG11 1ED. Saturday’s trial starts at 11am and Sunday at 10.30am.

Swaine Woods, Leeds, LS18 4RP is the venue of the third round of the OSET Cup North on Saturday 06 June. The event is supported by Trials UK, a premier OSET dealer who is providing a stellar prize – new lightweight Wulf Tria-action helmets! The trial starts at 11am. Both OSET Cups are ideal for absolute beginners through to national levels riders.
Simon Armstrong from OSET Bikes said: “The whole point of OSET Cups is to introduce the youngest riders to the sport of trials in a non-intimidating environment and have lots of fun! Getting to grips with how a trial works (for kids and parents), running conducted courses and offering medals, trophies, goodie bags and certificates gives the kids a real sense of accomplishment. The aim is to act as feeder events for local trials clubs so as kids ‘get the bug’ they’ll look for where they can ride locally.”
The ethos is certainly working. At last weekend’s ACU OSET British Youth Championship nearly 100% of the D-Class was made up of electric machines with the top three riders in the C-Class all electric graduates.
