The Off Road section of the Mid Antrim Motor Club will be promoting their first event of the 2016 season, The Shane Cup Trial at Shilnavogy Hill, near Slemish Mountain, Broughshane on Saturday 19th March starting at 11am. The event will again be a round of the Irish trials championship.
Clerk of the Course Willie Dickey and his band of helpers have been working hard marking out 15 suitable sections for this prestigious event. Again the club wish to thank most sincerely all the land owners who have so willingly given us the use of their lands, without their help and support the event would not be possible.
The sections at the Shane will reflect the abilities all grades of competitors so all can be assured of a good, safe days sport within their individual grade. To this end the Sportsman grade, blue bibs, will only ride a 10 section course which they will ride for 4 laps. All other competitors will have 15 sections and they will have to complete 3 laps.
All senior and youth grades will be catered for at the event.
Full details of the location of the venue can be found on the website WWW.mamc-bikes.co.uk
This will be the first round of the 2016 Michelin Mid Antrim Trials Series details of which are attached on separate press release.
