Adam Raga achieves the second position in both days of the Japanese Grand Prix, where he also signed an extraordinary “pole”. In females, we add another two podiums with Sandra Gómez and Hakonsen as protagonists.
The Japanese GP, which takes place in the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, is always special. For the environment, for the public and of course for the requirement that represent two consecutive days of race. Raga, who already achieved victory here in 2017, has placed his RR TRRS as the best 2T classified in all days.
It was a weekend worked to the maximum since the classification, where Raga signed the pole in TrialGP and secured the best starting position in the race. On Saturday, with intermittent rain, the scores were high, with Raga being the only rider able to follow Toni Bou. Finally, he wisely managed his advantage and finished the race in second position.
On Sunday, the second day of the race, the sections were easier and the weather improved. Conditions that returned to get the best version of Raga and repeated the second place of the previous day, a result that strengthens him in the second place of the standings and places TRS as the first moto 2T of the main category.
Also highlight the sixth positions of the German Franzi Kadlec, who in his first year with TRS is significantly improving his records of the previous season.
In Trial2, the norwegian Sondre “Gekko” Haga completed the GP with a tenth and eleventh position. In Trial125, two seventh positions for Pol Medinya.
In Japan we also saw in action the top category of women, TrialGP Women. Hakonsen took the pole on friday and climbed to the third place on saturday, with Sandra Gómez, second. On sunday, Sandra was the best classified with TRS, staying at the gates of the podium.
Race P2 & P2 | Championship P2
Day 1 “The race has gone quite well, although in the last few sections I have several fives, one of them too strict, and I have already distanced myself from Toni, and on the second lap I improved a lot, so I was satisfied with the result and the riding.”
Day 2 “Happy with today’s race, I made a very good second lap, without being able to fight for the victory as I would like, as I made some mistakes, but the riding was good. Afterwards I kept my line, but without errors and happy for having added enough points in a very positive weekend.”
“It’s been a good weekend for us, it’s not easy at the Honda home, their riders have had some extra help, but happy with Adam and the result in TrialGP, including Kadlec with two sixth places and today fourth position coming in. Good work in TrialGP Women on Saturday and today Sandra has been left out of a deserved podium by the minimum, in Trial2 and Trial125 we keep fighting to improve”.
