2015 FIM WTC Rounds 9 and 10 – 27/28/06/2015 – Andon France
It would be the high altitude venue of Andon that would welcome the riders to France for rounds 9 and 10 of this year’s 2015 World Trials Championship. The two days of competition were played out in exceptionally hot conditions which made for a tough weekends action for all the riders. The 12 hazards to be ridden 3 times were all very similar consisting of the white rocks and steep wooded banks which are familiar in this part of Europe. Team Roundhouse Beta rider Dec Bullock once again finished with points scoring rides on both days to maintain his 13th position in the championship standings.
Dec Bullock: “I am feeling much more confident on the machine and I am happy to once again come away from two tough days of competition with a few more points. The very hot conditions played a part in the proceedings on both days and I must thank the team and in particular my minder Ben Hemingway for keeping me motivated and focussed once again”.
“On day one on the first lap we started pretty good but the lap was spoilt towards the end with three five mark penalties in my score of 24. I improved on the second lap but I had a few problems with the machine which we eventually traced to a blocked carburettor breather pipe which had melted on the exhaust.”
“We knew the hot weather conditions would once again play a part in the day’s competition but once again it was my inconsistency in my riding which would keep me away from the top ten which was my aim at the start of the day. The team will stay out in Europe before we travel to the next round in Andorra to gain some vital practice in the very hot conditions which we expect to be the same this coming weekend”.
Team Manager Simon Bullock: “I have not been able to attend as many rounds as I would have liked to but I would like to thank the team for the efforts they are putting in to try and put Dec back into the top ten finishing positions and hopefully move up in the overall championship positions”.
Team Roundhouse Beta is still looking for sponsors to add for the 2015 season. Please contact Trials Media if you want to find out more about the team.
