Team Roundhouse Media Service – 2015 WTC Rounds 7 and 8 0613/14/06/2015 Great Britain

This year’s 2015 World Trials Championship visited the home of trials Great Britain at the weekend for rounds 7 and 8 of this year’s series. Once again it was the Nord Vue venue located in the North of the country near Penrith that would host the competitors. Both days of action would feature changing conditions as light rain showers followed by drying warm conditions covered the 12 hazards to be ridden 3 times. An estimated crowd of 4,500 spectators over the two days watched the action unfold as the Team Roundhouse rider Dec Bullock on the Beta put together a much improved performance as his confidence gave him the opportunity to challenge for the top 10 positions.

Dec Bullock: “Despite the pressure of my home rounds I have ridden so much better over the two days starting with a 12th place finish on Saturday. My second lap score woke me up to the fact that when I put together a consistent lap I am actually well on the pace of the other riders in this competitive class”.

“My first days result was a points scoring one but once again I started quite well but never improved considering my liking for the conditions. On the second day I was just very inconsistent again and could not get onto a flowing riding style despite a pretty good first lap score. 10th position was where I finished but I was so close to a better result which has made me happy.

“I am really pushing with my riding technique and working well with my minder Ben Hemingway. With the support from Beta and Team Roundhouse for which I must say a huge thank you I have managed to regain confidence in my riding. As we move swiftly through the season I am in a very much looking forward to the next few rounds in France and Andorra starting in two weeks’ time”.

Team Manager Simon Bullock: “I am much happier with Dec’s performance at the weekend as he has worked well with Ben on his riding style in the WTC. Confidence at this level of riding is very important and I am sure if he keeps in the same state of mind he has shown this weekend we can see a marked improvement in his performance at the next few rounds”.
