Pre’65 Scottish Trial 2022

It is now all systems go for the Pre’65 Scottish Trial 2022 as it looks like we will be able to go ahead with the event this year.  All the work in the background has been stepped up a gear or two as we are now just over 3 months to the trial kicking off.

New 2022 paperwork was sent out in December to the current entry list and this needs to be returned by 7 February 2022 to ensure your place is secured.  If you opted to carry your entry over from 2020 and have not received a letter, please get in touch –  HYPERLINK “mailto:sec@pre65scottish.co.uk” sec@pre65scottish.co.uk as soon as possible otherwise get your paperwork completed and remember to sign all three forms before returning it in the post.  There are no new open entries for the 2022 Trial as we still have a reserve list.

The committee are excited to announce that we have changed how we are running the trial for 2022.  The route will no longer be a figure of eight but will be a single lap with riders all going the same way.  We have deliberated long and hard about the pros and cons of this for a few years but have unanimously agreed that this is the perfect time to try it out.  We are aware that there will be challenges to overcome and we have ideas on how to minimise the impact.  One of the major advantages are, that the observers, will not have such a long day out on the course which we are sure they will welcome if the weather is bad.  The event start time will change to 9am each day and the route will pass through the village to give riders the opportunity to refuel.

We are still looking for Observers so, if you are interested in helping out, please get in touch with Sally Burton, Observer Co-ordinator –  sallyburton5@live.co.uk

We are again having a stand at the Telford Show on 12 & 13 February 2022 so come along and see us for a chat, maybe volunteer to observe and perhaps treat yourself to some new Pre’65 Scottish Trial merchandise.
