2026 Manx International Classic Trial

In 1996, a small group of trials enthusiasts, on the Isle of Man, came together to organise the very first Manx International Classic Trial weekend, welcoming 53 local Pre-65 and Twinshock machines. Little could they have imagined that this modest beginning would grow into one of the most successful and enduring classic trials events on the international calendar. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Manx International Classic Trial, a milestone that reflects three decades of dedication, passion, and sporting tradition.

Today, the Manx International Classic Trial has evolved into a major International event, held annually in late August/early September, immediately following the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT.

The 2026 event will take place over the weekend of 29th and 30th August. It consistently attracts competitors from across the globe, all eager to tackle authentic classic trials sections set against the spectacular backdrop of the Isle of Man. With an entry limited to 230 riders, the event is invariably oversubscribed. For many visiting competitors, it has become their number one “must-ride” event of the year – a distinction the organising club is immensely proud of and works hard to uphold.

Classes cater for Pre-65 machines, as well as the slightly more modern Twinshock and air-cooled Monoshock bikes, with riders able to choose between Premier or Clubman routes through the sections. Above all, the event aims to deliver a sociable yet genuinely competitive sporting weekend, enjoyed by all amid the island’s stunning countryside.
