MICHELIN AT THE 2026 SCOTTISH SIX DAYS TRIAL

In a tradition dating back to 1909, the world of motorcycle trials once again sees the focus turn to the Scottish Six Days Trial and its base for the event, Fort William, on the shores of Lock Linnhe, Scotland. Organized by the Edinburgh & District Motor Club Ltd, starting on Monday the 4th of May and closing on Saturday the 9th of May 2026, the town embraces the event and its many followers from around the globe as it comes alive to the sound and activity of motorcycle trials.

This is the largest modern day trials competition in the world which offers 288 international entrants six days of riding in this mountainous Highland location. It covers a large and varied terrain to test the most capable of riders with a total of 168 observed sections covering the demanding 500-mile course. The six-day trial is still classed as the ultimate test of man and machine in the world of off-road motorcycling. Great Britain’s Dougie Lampkin MBE re-wrote the record books with his 14th win in 2023; he will again compete for another victory in 2026.

Last year’s winner Jack Peace returns to the event and will be looking to repeat his performance against some very strong opposition. After finishing second last year on his first return to event since 1999 the former FIM World Trials Champion Adam Raga will be looking for his first win. Other potential winners include the 2024 winner Jack Price, George and Harry Hemingway, Jack Dance, Harry Turner and Billy Green to name a few. Flying the Scottish flag will be Jamie Galloway and Duncan McColl.

Great Britian’s 10 x FIM Women’s TrialGP World Champion, Emma Bristow MBE will compete in the event once again. The winner of the Best Lady Rider class on 13 previous consecutive occasions, she is now retired from World Championship competition. Her tyre choice at the SSDT has always been Michelin with the goal to improve on her best ride, finishing in 29th position at the 2019 event. All the leading challengers in the event use Michelin as there preferred tyre choice. The winner’s tyre choice consecutively for the last 26 years has been Michelin.
