We are saddened to report the death of the ‘Legend’ Arthur Lampkin who passed away peacefully in his sleep after a battle with cancer which he fought “his way” to his final lap.
John Hulme: “Arthur was a true ‘Legend’ in the off-road world with his wide open throttle attack in his scrambling years winning him many titles which he then converted to a calmer technique to win trials including the Scottish Six Days and Scott trials. A member of the BSA Team when it was at its best, Arthur was the eldest of three brothers followed by Alan and the late Martin. All our thoughts are with the Lampkin family at this difficult time”.
