EM Unveils the EPURE 2027
A fourth generation of Trial bikes, developed with riders. A new performance-driven platform.
Since its creation in 2009, EM has aimed to push the boundaries of electric trials and demonstrate that this technology can become a true source of performance. In recent years, riders Gaël Chatagno, Benoît Bincaz and Margaux Pena have represented EM, taking the EPURE and FACTOR-e to the top steps of national and international podiums.
For 2027, EM introduces the fourth generation of its Trial motorcycle: the EPURE 2027

To develop this new generation, Electric Motion worked closely with Jeroni Fajardo, a legend of world Trial and multiple Grand Prix winner, whose experience at the highest level of competition contributed to the development of the FACTOR-e, providing an additional perspective on the demands of performance and riding.
Working directly with the EM engineering department and technical teams, Jeroni Fajardo was involved in the analysis and development of every aspect of the motorcycle’s behaviour: traction, throttle response, balance, chassis behaviour, control and delivery of the electric powertrain. This collaboration between the rider’s experience and the technical expertise of the EM teams helped achieve the right balance between performance, control, precision and riding feeling.
The new EPURE 2027 range features a new chassis, a new high-voltage battery, new ergonomics and new bodywork, and is always available in two versions: RACE and FACTOR-e.
Every component has been designed to optimise the connection between rider and machine, with a clear objective: to deliver a more responsive, precise and intuitive motorcycle capable of supporting both experienced riders and those looking to improve their skills..
New chassis
The EPURE RACE 2027 features an all-new chassis, developed around a new mass distribution.
This architecture improves the motorcycle’s dynamic behaviour, particularly during changes of direction and obstacle crossings, while providing greater precision when positioning the bike.
The new aluminium tie rods deliver improved feel while increasing the overall rigidity of the chassis.
This new architecture is combined with completely revised ergonomics, providing greater freedom of movement and a more natural connection between rider and motorcycle.
New high-voltage battery
The new EPURE generation receives an entirely new 2.0 kWh high-voltage battery.
More compact and lighter, it features a new magnesium housing, optimising its integration into the chassis while improving overall rigidity.
The high-voltage technology also helps maintain a high level of performance for longer, particularly as the battery charge level decreases.
Removable, the battery features EM’s quick-change system and can be replaced in less than 60 seconds.
Finally, the high-voltage technology enhances motor feel by delivering a more direct, progressive and consistent response, providing even greater control of the motorcycle.
Three power maps
The EPURE RACE 2027 features three maps, allowing riders to adapt the motorcycle’s behaviour to their skill level, terrain, riding conditions…
This customisation allows riders to prioritise smoothness and control in technical sections, or a more direct response when conditions require it.
New transmission
The 2027 Epure also features a revised transmission wich, combined with a 3-disc diaphragm clutch, delivers torque to the rear wheel and improves traction.
The work carried out on the motor and transmission directly contributes to the precision and progressive response expected from a Trial motorcycle.
New ergonomics
The work carried out on the chassis is complemented by completely revised ergonomics.
The position of the various components, particularly that of the motor, as well as the contact areas have been redesigned to free up rider movement and facilitate weight transfers.
The objective is to create a more natural relationship between rider and machine, which is essential in a discipline where every movement matters.
New body frame
The EPURE RACE features new, slimmer and more compact body frame.
Every element has been developed with a specific purpose: to improve freedom of movement, optimise contact points and strengthen the connection with the motorcycle.
The new plastic design also provides greater resistance, flexibility and durability in the demanding conditions of Trial riding.

EPURE FACTOR-e 2027

At the top of the EPURE range, the EPURE FACTOR-e 2027 incorporates all the developments of the new generation and adds two technologies that define the model: a four-speed gearbox and EM Connect.
Four-speed gearbox
The FACTOR-e 2027 is equipped with a four-speed gearbox, combined with a three-disc hydraulic diaphragm clutch.
This architecture allows the torque of the electric motor to be exploited with exceptional precision and enables the rider to adapt the motorcycle’s behaviour to different riding situations.
For 2027, the gear ratios have also been revised to provide faster and more precise shifting.
EM Connect
On the FACTOR-e, EM Connect comes as standard and is available as an option on the EPURE RACE. The mobile application gives riders access to the motorcycle’s settings and allows them to customise its behaviour in addition to the three power maps. The FACTOR-e therefore offers a particularly high level of customisation, allowing the motorcycle to be adapted to the rider, their skill level and their riding style.

2027: A New Platform, and also New Services
EM Battery Service
With the new EPURE range, EM is launching EM Battery Service, a new programme exclusively dedicated to the EPURE RACE and EPURE FACTOR-e 2027.
The service introduces a new approach to battery ownership, allowing riders to choose between several solutions and adapt their equipment to their changing needs.
The EPURE can be purchased with its original battery and complemented at any time by one or more additional batteries available for rental.
It is also possible to purchase an EPURE without a battery and benefit from a subscription including access to a battery and the associated services.
The new generation’s quick-change system also provides a practical solution for competition riders, whether competing in a championship or classic events: an additional battery can be kept in the paddock and replaced in just a few seconds.
With EM Battery Service, the battery becomes a flexible solution that evolves with the rider’s needs and riding style.
EM Pulse
EM is also launching EM Pulse, a new program exclusively dedicated to the EPURE range and designed for riders competing in the 2027 FFM French Trial Championship. EM Pulse has been conceived as a comprehensive rider support programme, going beyond simply providing a EM motorcycle.
It brings together sporting support, coaching, community, events and exclusive benefits, with the ambition of creating a genuine EM rider family sharing the same values of passion, progression, enjoyment and mutual support.
The programme will notably include group training sessions led by Gaël Chatagno, complemented by digital support throughout the season.
Riders will also be part of a dedicated community and supported in creating and sharing content around their racing season.
Launched for the 2027 French Championship, EM Pulse is also intended to be adapted to other national championships and international markets.
ESCAPE R 2027
The ESCAPE R 2027 completes the EM range with a targeted evolution of the existing model. t receives a new 3.8 kWh battery, compared with 3.5 kWh on the 2026 version, providing greater energy capacity for longer rides and exploration.
New graphics complete its 2027 identity.
The ESCAPE R 2027, benefiting from the reinforced chassis already used on the Escape X+ and Escape XR+ models, completes the new range alongside the EPURE, offering a dedicated solution for exploration, trail riding and off-road adventures.
