MICHELIN AT THE SCOTTISH SIX DAYS TRIAL 2026 – ADAM RAGA (ESP) wins

2026 Scottish Six Days trial Winner Adam Raga (Sherco-ESP)

After finishing second in 2025, Adam Raga (Sherco-ESP) returned to the event and took a well-deserved first victory at the 2026 Scottish Six Days Trial organised by The Edinburgh & District Motor Club which ran from the 4th until the 9th of May. The Michelin tyres success story for the winner also continued further down the order as the majority of the riders in a finishing list of 254 competitors chose to use Michelins for their durability and exceptional performance over the six days of this competition played out around the base of the event at Fort William.

Harry Hemingway (Beta-GBR)

Adam Raga (Sherco-ESP) started very confident and took the lead on day one, Monday with some strong and consistent riding. It was very close behind him with four more riders on single marks including the 2019 winner James Dabill (Scorpa-GBR). Raga remained at the head of the field on Thursday when he parted with his first single mark. Another single mark loss and stop at the end of the day on Friday put him on equal marks with 18 year old George Hemingway (GBR) on the 125cc Beta.

George Hemingway (Beta-GBR)

With Adam Raga and George Hemingway both on seven marks lost the final day turned in to a real fight for the win but a stop early in the day dropped George down to an eventual third place finish just two marks away from the win. The stop allowed his elder brother Harry to overtake him to finish second with just single marks separating the top three at the close of a hard weeks competition. Consistent all week, the 14 x winner of the event Dougie Lampkin MBE (Vertigo-GBR) finished in seventh position.

The Sherco Factory Racing team consisting of the winner Adam Raga (ESP), Jack Peace (GBR), Harry Turner (GBR) won the manufacturers team award, all using Michelin tyres. The highest placed female competitor was once again the 10 x FIM TrialGP Women’s World Champion, Emma Bristow MBE (Sherco-GBR) who took the Best Female Rider award finishing in 50th position. With just 26 retirements from the 280 starters once again the event has proved to be the ultimate test of rider and machine.

Winner Adam Raga (ESP): “I am absolutely delighted to take the victory at the ‘Scottish’ and to join an exclusive club of riders who have all won the event. It has not been an easy week as you have to be at your very best on all of the six days which is both mentally and physically draining. Once again the weather was very kind to the event which makes it much more enjoyable for everyone. In the ever changing conditions you need the maximum adhesion in the sections at all times and with the feedback from the Michelin tyres it gave me the confidence to challenge for the win due to their superior performance. I would like to thank everyone who made this win possible and for making my time at the event enjoyable – thank you”.
