Line-up announced for Andorra la Vella

Billy Green makes his debut as the FIM X-Trial World Championship returns

The nine competing riders for X-Trial Andorra la Vella on 7th October have now been announced.

The top four in the 2023 World Championship heading into the summer break, the men who between them have locked out all of the podium places in the four Rounds so far, are ready for the second stage of the season.  Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) leads with three victories and a second place.  The only man to have beaten him this season, Jamie Busto (GasGas) won X-Trial Wiener Neustadt and has been on the rostrum at every Round.  Gabriel Marcelli (Repsol Honda Trial Team) beat Busto for second in Barcelona and Pamplona, and Adam Raga (TRS) sits a point behind him in the battle for bronze with podiums in Austria and France.  Raga, who spent a spell on the sidelines through injury and surgery in the summer, has recently announced that he will depart TRS at the end of this season, so the three remaining Rounds will be his last in their colours.

The next four in the Championship have yet to climb onto the podium this season.  Toby Martyn (Montesa) came closest with a fourth place at X-Trial Bordeaux before the summer Break, Benoit Bincaz (Sherco) is sixth overall and two sixth place finishes are the best of his results, Aniol Gelabert (Beta) was an impressive fifth in Wiener Neustadt, while Matteo Grattarola makes his return to Beta after a stuttering start to the season with Vertigo.

The Wild Card in Andorra la Vella will be Billy Green, the young Scorpa rider newly crowned Trial2 World Champion.  At 21 years of age, the man from Torbay in Devon has some experience of these types of course from his homeland.
