Raga finishes 3rd in the opening round of the Spanish Trials Championship
Opening round of the 2024 Spanish Trials Championship
The first round of the 2024 Spanish Trials Championship was held on Saturday February 24th and Sunday the 25th, in the town of Arteixo in La Corunna.
All the riders agreed that it was a technical round, and the difficulties were accentuated by winter weather conditions. The rain and the wind appeared on Saturday.
Adam Raga made his Outdoor Trials debut aboard his Sherco in the TR1 category. The program consisted of 12 sections, and the riders had to complete 2 laps.
On Saturday, he took the lead on the first lap, but he made some mistakes on the second lap and finished the day in third place.
On Sunday, the rain was present again from the start of the day and the strong wind gusts reinforced the difficulties in the 12 sections.
Adam scored 16 points in the first lap and 14 points in the second. Like the day before, despite a few mistakes, he climbed to the third step of the podium.
The next event of the Spanish Trials Championship will take place on March 24th in Gironella (Barcelona).

“This weekend was positive for us. On Saturday I took first place in the first lap, and I rode well. I made a mistake on the second lap and finished third, but overall, it was a good day and I am very happy with the bike which performed very well.
Sunday was a little more difficult, I made two mistakes in section two, during the first and second lap, there was also a very difficult climb. Finishing on the podium for the weekend is very motivating for the rest of the season.”
